With a grateful heart I thank you for the blessing of your Easter special! My infirmed parent in rural louisiana worshipped with you from home this Holy day. We were so blessed to be able to view your program this morning on channel 2 wbrz out of Baton rouge, directv. As you reminded us, it IS in His power that until God opens that "next door" we are able to choose to praise Him in the hallway! The "don't cry for me" song was a great reminder that we are NEVER farther way than the Foot of the Cross! Blessings to you in your outreach.
It was truly a blessing to be a part of the Flint Water Rally. To acquaint a present bible study interest, Ebony Turner and her children Capriona, Daviona, and Daria (future members of the Rising Stars Pathfinders Club at Niles) with the Breath of Life Ministry-a broader aspect of the Adventist organization. We thought it would be a great field trip for them to experience Community Services at its peak. Although they missed the previous Global Children's Day positioned at the Flint Fairhaven SDA Church in Flint, Michigan on Sabbath, their greater experience came into existence when they arrived in Flint Sunday afternoon not knowing the great work that God had in store for them.
They were asked, along with Imani Lowe (another Rising Stars Pathfinder), to assist in passing out additional flyers in areas surrounding the church that was missed during Global Children's Day. Myself, along with the Personal Ministries leader, Desi Dunoumes from Niles, Pastor Byrd and his secretary, Cassie Lambert, the Community Services Leader for Fairhaven and members from Fairhaven Church distributed a least another 500 flyers to neighbors and Wal-Mart customers. What a blessing to work in the vineyard. To God be the glory. Ebony and her daughters talked about their experience with Dr. Byrd, passing out the flyers, their and conversations with people all the way home and are looking forward to visiting the Breath of Life website to hear sermons lodged on that site. They will be watching the Easter broadcast this weekend. I pray that they hear a word of conviction that draws them closer to Christ and His truth.
The guestbook is empty.
